Dj Jungle Jane

Genre: Samba, Salsa, House Music

Saudy Tejada, a.k.a. Jungle Jane, spins yesterday and today’s music with a taste of global sounds tailored to your venue throughout New York City. Inspired by her world travels and working at international music venues, she was exposed to beautiful music from around the world… music that is often not recognized on commercial radio. Jungle Jane wants to share her love for world music and take you on a cultural journey… music that will make you want to get up and free yourself through the beat of the drums.

Jungle Jane’s passion lies in the history of the African Diaspora and it’s influence on the birth of music from Samba and Salsa to most of today’s music including Hip-Hop. Through music, she wants to take you on a journey to a primitive era where technology was not prevalent and dancing and music was a staple in aboriginal tribes. They created music collaboratively with the voices in their communities and creative sounds of the drums. As they danced and played, they became storytellers, expressed their souls, and passed down their culture and traditions.
